Jazz vocalist and composer Jeannette Lambert has been singing at festivals and jazz clubs all her life. Raised in Canada with mixed race (Dutch, <\/span>Indonesian and German) ancestry, straddling east and west, Jeannette combines music, intuition and improvisation to compose unique, artistic music. She lives in Montr\u00e9al with her husband, jazz drummer, composer and visual artist Michel Lambert & their two sons, sound poet\/rappers van garden (Jerome) and beamer! (Theo) who are also members of Jeannette’s Genius Loci Ensemble. Jeannette’s brother, jazz guitarist Reg Schwager<\/a>, is the fifth member of the ensemble.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is currently working on a new album with Michel entitled The Promise of Chaos,<\/a> comprised of musical collages and otherworldy collaborations. Her last two albums Portrait Landscape<\/a> and Opera of the Unspoken: Island of Unrest<\/a> are available on Bandcamp and streaming. Other albums which explore music inspired by the spirit of place, Genius Loci North, <\/a>Genius Loci East, <\/a>Genius Loci Mixtape<\/a> are also available on her Bandcamp page<\/a>.\u00a0 You can find the re-issue of her first compact disc Ask Her<\/a> in Japan (\u30b8\u30e3\u30cd\u30c3\u30c8 \u30e9\u30f3\u3079\u30eb), her early cassette release Something I Said<\/a> and Lone Jack Pine<\/a> a live concert ep with Michel and Barre Phillips at Bandcamp as well.
